Need some help to find what you’re looking for? Take advantage of our powerful search facility to track down the ideal images for your project.

Simple search
For a quick search, simply type your keywords into the search field at the top of the screen. You can enter up to six keywords in the text field; using spaces, but no punctuation or prepositions such as ‘in’, ‘on’ or ‘at’. Keywords can be a descriptive word, activity, place, county, country or barcode (if you know the barcode of the image you require). You can also look for ‘landscape’ and/or ‘portrait’ shots in a simple search.

Advanced search
If a simple search doesn’t bring you the results you need, then narrow your search down by opening up the ‘advanced search’ facility. By using the full search you can then complete a combination search by category and/or keyword and/or by excluding keywords from the search. Once again you can stipulate whether you are looking for ‘landscape’ or ‘portrait’ shots.

New search feature
As you preview each image, all associated keywords are also displayed on screen. You can then select any keywords (using the tick box that appears alongside the word) to complete a further search using the selected combination of words. You should find that this functionality opens new avenues to aid your research.

Search results options
Not everyone is the same, so we’ve created a facility in the ‘Search Results’ window for you to choose how many thumbnail images per page you would prefer to view. Simply click into the drop down menu to choose 10, 20, 30, 60, 90 or 120 images per page. Bear in mind that the number of thumbnails will affect the page’s load time.
