Delivery options

If you choose to take delivery of your order via the download or email facility you can have all the quality images you need in a matter of minutes.

What are the delivery options for receiving the images I have ordered?
Ordering online allows you the option to download high and low resolution images. You can also take advantage of email facilities and deliver images via the website to a third party address. Other delivery options include: FTP or on a CD in the post. (CD delivery is subject to an administration fee). Download times are subject to network bandwidth availability and the speed of your connection to the Internet.

What is the delivery process?
First, you need to select whether you would like to order the images either high resolution or low resolution. (High resolution means the images are approx. A4 in size at 300 dpi and suitable for print reproduction. Low resolution means the images are 600 pixels on the long side at 72 dpi, suitable for screen presentation).

Next select a delivery method. Options include:

The email delivery screen is displayed. Enter the email address you wish to send to in the box provided or select a recipient in your personal contacts from the drop down menu. A text box is available for you to add any comments regarding the images you are ordering. Click ‘Submit’ to send the email. The email is split into the number of images in the order. This is to ensure that email sizes are minimised and aid delivery over a network. A confirmation is sent to you and the recipient (if different) to confirm your order.

  • Download images as a Stuffit archive (Mac)
A dialogue box is displayed asking you what you would like to do with the file. Select ‘Save file to disk’. You are then required to select a location on your computer to download to and name the file. Click ‘Save’. A compressed file will appear in your selected location. Decompress the file using Stuffit. A confirmation of your order is emailed to you.

  • Download images as a Zip archive (PC)
A dialogue box is displayed asking ‘Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?’ Click ‘Save’. Select a location to save the file. You can also name the file as you wish. A compressed file will appear in your chosen location. Double click the file to display – and expand – the downloaded images in WinZip. A confirmation of your order is emailed to you.

  • Request postal delivery
A delivery address screen is displayed with your registration details. Check the details are correct for both delivery and invoice. Click ‘Submit’ to send your order. The images will be dispatched to you on a CD-rom. A confirmation of your order will be emailed to you. Note that there is a minimum surcharge of £25 for this service.

  • Request delivery by FTP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) allows a user on one computer to transfer files to and from another computer over a TCP/IP network. The FTP delivery screen is displayed. Enter your ftp address, remote folder, ftp user name and ftp password. (You may need to contact your network or systems administrator for this information). Click ‘Submit’ to send the details. A confirmation of your order will be emailed to you.
